    Description

    This is a
White's Whatchamacallit of a decoupage duck decoy
that is made by hand.  It is too heavy (5+lb) to be used as a hunting decoy but would work very well as a door stopper or a decoration.  It is large at about 15" long, 8" tall and 6" deep.  It is decoupaged with green background and pink and white flowers.  On the bottom, in black marker, it is
    signed: Donna 6456-88 #193
.  I don't know if Donna is the maker or owner, nor what the numbers mean. This has been used only as decoration so it is still in excellent condition.  Because of the weight, shipping (at cost) will be expensive outside of the Western USA.

    SHIPPING
:  These will weigh over 5 pounds when packed for shipping which is at cost.  I can send them Parcel Select or Priority Mail within the USA.  I mail within 1 business day of receiving payment.
    International bidders
    welcome
.  because this weighs more than 5 pounds, it must go out Priority International which is expensive.
Please be sure you know the cost of shipping before bidding.
    PAYMENT
    :
I appreciate a prompt response from the winning bidder and payment through PayPal within 3 days.
A prompt response is more important than the date of payment

    BIDDING TIPS
    BIN:
EBay used to be an auction only web site.  Then they introduced
    B
    uy
    I
    t
    N
    ow
and most purchases are BIN.  That means that auctions, which usually ask less $, are being ignored and often get no bids.  You might consider bidding on auctions again because you have a much better chance of winning than before BIN.
AUCTIONS:  Reasons earlier bidding is to your advantage.
    Watch List:
    M
any bidders put items on their WATCH List and then they wait until the very end to bid. There are advantages and disadvantages to this approach
    .
    The
advantage is that you are not driving up the price by bidding with your competition. The
    disadvantage
    is that bidders
often forget to keep track of their watched items
    and find out too late
that the item sold for less than you would have been willing to pay, or it didn't sell at all and you could have had it for the minimum bid
    .
    The solution to this dilemma
    :
    Bid
    just the minimum
    bid amount early on.
You can still bid at the end, and it doesn't drive up the price because it is just the minimum. Also, if you tend to lose track of what is on your WATCH LIST, then you wouldn't have to worry about losing an item that receives no other bids because you would already have bid.
Even the most careful bidder can have an unforeseen interruption that prevents him/her from bidding and lose the item altogether.
    When you bid,
it locks in the sellers description
.  It can only be added to only at the very bottom of the page where no one looks.  If you see an error that may discourage bidding, (spelling etc) it is to your advantage to force that error to remain because other bidders may then miss it altogether.
An early bid also prevents the seller from later adding a Buy It Now
to a listing that someone else may see before you do and grab it.  It must remain an auction if it has a bid and cannot disappear because someone emailed the seller with a good offer.
    Decide on your maximum
    :
If you bid at the very end, bid the maximum.
If you really bid your maximum, you won't need to feel bad if the item was outbid.
    Someone else may
    seem
to have outbid you by so little, but you don't know how high the other bidder actually bid.
If you want it no matter what it costs
    :
If money is no object and you
must have an item no matter what it costs
, Then bid some ridiculously high amount that no one else would possibly bid.
    ***NEW EBAYERS:
New bidders are often confused by the bidding process.  They worry that their high bid is what they will pay and that isn't necessarily the case.
EBay bids for you in increments
depending on how high the bidding goes. (increments of 25 cents, 50 cents, , .50 on up).  The only way you will pay the maximum you've bid is when
someone else bids close to or the same as your maximum
.  In cases where someone else bids the same as you, the first bidder is high bidder until more bids come in.
In auctions combined with a Buy It Now Price, if you don't want to pay the BIN price than bid the auction amount and BIN will disappear so no one else can Buy It Now anymore.
