    The design is inspired by JG Low's Art Tile as shown in his 1887 catalogue #686. Elihu Vedder worked with Low and this design is very similar to Vedder's face in the clouds as seen in his painting titled "Memory " The hand painted wash allows the texture of the clay to show through to further enhance the aged appearance. This tile has excellent detail! It also has a notch on the back for hanging. All tiles and color are kiln fired.
